HedgX-Superfund was designed with the idea of big money and big profits was my algorithmic prime mover.
I originally devised the system in 2004 when I was hired by a Canadian group of investors to develop a trading portfolio for a hedge fund. The initial seed capital came from the Bank of Luxemburg of $1,330,000. A trade desk was set up with three traders including myself. On October 21, 2004 I was given $330,000 to trade real-time with the system I had developed exclusively for the fund — HedgX– Securities, Curacao Netherlands Antilles.
The system I developed is called HedgX-Superfund back than it was called GEMS (Global Equity Management Strategy).
I hit peak equity in March 2005 of $839,919 and stopped trading in June with a balance of $816,779 for a total net profit of $486,779, a gain of 147% in 8 months. It was an amazing run, maybe a once on a decade type experience. The strategy remains with only minor changes to its priced based exits. It is my primary system and I view my account as an investment not a over leveraged speculation.
I cater to individual traders and capital managers, here is a recent report on 10 markets.
